Hi Anne,
Could your Henrietta Herseys be related to my great great grandmother Mary Hersey, christened 1.5.1831 in Cranleigh, Surrey (which is almost on the county border)? Her father's name was Henry. She had two siblings, Sarah and Henry, of which no more is known. Interestingly, her husband Henry Stemp (of Cranleigh) was a member of the Surrey Constabulary from 1852 to 1864.
If anyone has any information about my Herseys it would be gratefully received.
