Many of the Herrins in Lincoln, Casey, Taylor, Adair and Green Counties are descendents of Dennis Herrin and Lucy Camp/Kemp, d/o Thomas Camp and Winifred Starling. Dennis can be found in various palces starting in Southampton Co., VA as Herne, Edgecombe Co., NC as Herne, Orange Co., NC as Hern, Rutherford Co., NC as Herne, Lincoln Co., KY as Herne and Herrin and his sons can be found as Herring as well: Washington Herring of Lincoln CO. Reuben of Adair and William of Green Co. were probaly his sons and there was a Michael Herrin in Casey that probable was too. Wish I knew more. His daughter was nancy who married George Gaddis. The Gaddis family traveled with Dennis from Virginia to NC to Kentucky. They all can also be found is some SC records since Rutherford was on the state line and the lien was unknown.
