I am researching the Azariah Herring family from here in Hendricks County, IN.
He was born in Kentucky on 10/11/1820 and died here in Hendricks County, IN on 12/8/1897.
He married Eleanor "Ellen" Beasley on 1/26/1843 in Hendricks County, IN.
Eleanor was born in KY on 9/13/1825 and died in Hendricks County, IN on 3/23/1901.
I am trying to find more information on Azariah's father and and siblings that he (Azariah) might have.
I have found the following:
"HARRISON CO., KY Records Vol 2 Book 1814-1820:
GUARDIANSHIP: Ann Herring is appointed guardian to Azariah Herring, infant orphan of William Herring, dec'd. Rebecca Herring, infant orphan of William Herring, dec'd then chose Ann Herring as her guardian.
Security: George Herring, pril 1816 pg. 138".
I have also found George Herring in the 1850 Census for Libert, Hendricks County and I believe that George is the brother to Azariah's father (William) as referred to in the above court record. I think that they all came to Indiana in the early 1840s.
Would appreciate any assistance anyone could provide to me on this search.
