Elizabeth Herren, buried in Irons Cemetery, was born 1767, (or so from memory). She was Smith Herren's wife. Smith was alive in the 1810 Harrison Co., KY Census, but Elizabeth appeared as head in the 1820 Census. Then Smith Herren would be one that I've never seen any research on and he would be the patriarch of the family.

John Smith Herring died in Western KY in 1824. He was born in 1786, hence too young to be the husband of Elizabeth.

Daniel Smith Herring was his younger brother and he died in Florida.

My belief that Smith was a son of Alexander and Margaret Reed Smith Herring was obviously in error.

Since Isaiah Harrison was a grandfather to Alexander and his wife as Abigail Smith, then I would propose that Smith may be an undocumented brother of Alexander, or maybe his brother William S. Herrin. However, since I found William S. Herring's records in Clermont Co., Ohio, that is questionable.

Herrins from afar... please help!
