I noticed that. Pension filed 1832. By 1832 my John Dowell (formerly of ALbermarle & Burke Co NC) was in Jackson Co TN as was his former Housemate richard Herrin. I wondered who this John Dowell was named in the pension. The names of Greening, Munday, etc are all Albermarle families connected to the Dowell clan of albermarle. Who is this James Herring and who can this John Dowell be???
