Seeking parents of Elizabeth Herr who married Michael Derstine abt. 1843 in probably Pennsylvania [PA]. Their daughter Matilda Derstine [1842-1924] m. John M. Bechtel, my husband's great grandfather.

Thanks to Shelly who was chasing down a Durstine line for a cousin of hers and came upon my Matilda's data. The IGI, or International Genealogical Index, has Matilda Derstine b. 17 Feb 1842, Rockhill, Bucks, PA. death date is 2 Aug 1924. Marriage date is 7 Jan 1865 to John M. Bechtel, Sellersville, Bucks, PA. Parents of Matilda listed as Michael Derstine and Elizabeth Herr.

Shelly wrote there is a big passel of Durstines in Alverton, Westmoreland County, PA. This was a Mennonite group and many are buried in the Alverton Mennonite Cemetery, which has an index online. (just google Alverton Mennonite Cemetery)
