Listed as having graduated from Transylvania Medical Collage in 1838.
Lived rest of his life in Shawneetown, Gallatin, Illinois. Was a doctor until he died on 25 Jan 1887.
Was a Mason raised on 26 Nov 1842, Warren Lodge No.14, Shawneetown, Gallatin, Illinois. Was elected Worshipful Master27 Dec 1857, Expelled from lodge 18 Aug, 1867.
Was a Captain in Co. B 18th illinois Infantry but had health issues and was discharged. Was a Major in the 6th Illinois Cavalry until he was courts martialed for the murder of Ltc. Reuben Loomis, sentance of death commuted to 10 years at Albany Penitentiary, Albany New York. President Andrew Johnson pardoned him on 02 May 1866.
