Am trying to find more about John Hern b 1775 in VA. He was in Washington Co, AR by late 1830's. In 1850 census his household included:
HERN, John 75 VA
       Spicy 50 KY
       William 18 MO
       Shelton 16 AR
       Henry 14 AR
TUNE,        Thomas L. 10 AR
SEXTON, Jane 14 MO
McAlister, Nancy A. 10 AR

I believe that William, Shelton, and Henry might have actually been Tunes/Toons. Spicy was married to Benjamin Toon and they lived in KY and Boone Co, MO before moving to Washington Co AR. William Hern was also born in Boone Co, MO. Would be glad to share info with anyone concerning any of the above indivduals in the 1850 census. Thanks!

Loretta
