Read your forum and I want to know if you have any connection or knowledge of the following:
I have (Hermann) (Herrmann) relatives arriving in New York from Bavaria about 1839.The elder Hermann (Nicholas, Nicklaus, or Niklaus) and wife Katharina (Weiler) stayed in New York City along with a younger Jacob & Susanna Herrmann (relationship not known) who stayed in the same household according to the census.A son,Nicholas and wife Elizabeth, settled in the Callicoon, Sullivan Co. area prior to 1850.Nicholas died 1907 & is buried at Callicoon Center. They had sons, Frank, Peter, & Lewis.Frank, b. 1848 married to Anna (Weiler) & lived in the same household with Nicholas.Believe they and other relatives are buried in the Jefferson, Callicoon, Roscoe and other areas within Sullivan county. If you can help me with anything, it would be appreciated.
