Good morning Kathy,
It is a pleasant surprise to hear from another cousin & so very glad you are within the website now. I received much information from there.
I am still awaiting the document from NY for the death certificate of Daniel Hermance (Danel Hermance) to validate the lineage which I think my husband is from. I think "Jim" on the death cerficate of our greatgrandfather Daniel is a nickname but dont know for sure until I get this data. The connecting link was the wife on Daniel's death certificate of Adeline Waterbury & this is where I found a Danel Hermance married to this lady about the same time as GGGrandpa DAniel was to be born. They had numerous sons and one was Daniel born in Troy on 1/30/1861 who is our great grandfather. So....
Meanwhile there is always this niggling in the back of ones head that it is wrong.
I have compiled a quick spreadsheet of the lineages I think our family is from & how it connects to the other website cousins. Meanwhile I will check my books & see where this James connects....maybe you are closer related to my hubby Rick than 2 others named Joyce VanDuesen & Gene Hermance. You also may be closely related to J>M> Hermance of the family website...he is directly related to some James' too.....exciting isnt it?!
Anyway, If you have access to Excel or Word, please send me your e-mail address & I will send over the general spreadsheet & then look in my books when I get home.
Do you happen to know who your Great grandfathers name is?
Well...gotta go to work. Please give me your e-mail & lets see where all this goes. I love this!
Diana
