Looking for information about ancestry and descendants of Ludwig (Louis) Christian Heinrich Herrmann and his wife Christina Margareta Eliza Licht. Louis was born in Holstein (now part of Germany) in 1857. He came to America aboard the ship Suevia in 1886. He married Christina the following year in Clinton, Iowa. They had 17 children:
1. Wilhemina Katherine (“Minnie”), born Oct. 23, 1887.
2. Anna Margrata, born Nov. 1, 1888.
3. Otto, born March 22, 1890.
4. Theressa Rosemary, born April 13, 1892.
5. Theodore Henry, born Nov. 8, 1893.
6. Eliza Fredricha, born July 11, 1895.
7. William F., born Feb. 5, 1897.
8. Emma Alvina, born April 13, 1898
9. Louis Christian, born Dec. 19, 1899
10. Augusta Rebecca, born Sept. 12, 1901
11. Alma Caroline, born March 27, 1903
12. Margrata, born Sept. 4, 1904
13. Albert George, born Oct. 10, 1905
14. Irena Martha Maria, born Nov. 2, 1906
15. Rudolf, born Sept. 10, 1907
16. Melvin John, born Sept. 22, 1910
17. Henry Nicklos Fredrich, born June 14, 1912
I am descended from Theodore Henry Herrmann (my great-grandfather). Will happily share what info I have.
