According to the 1888 book, "Ancient Families of Bohemia Manor", Augustine Herman died in 1686 at about 66 years of age. He is buried by his first wife, Jannetje. In a portrait at the manor, he was german looking. With hair parted in the middle that falls in thick locks to his shoulders. He had a beardless face with prominent cheek bones, firmly set lips and piercing eyes.
