Sherry,
I think it more likely that the 1939 letter was telling Emma about the death of her Grandfather John T Seibert aka Squire Seibert. He died 11 Dec 1939. Her father Jacob Seibert died 29 Feb 1944. Emma had a brother Carl Seibert. Carl's son was Donald V Seibert who died 28 Aug 2000. Donald was CEO of the J.C. Penny Company for many years. The A Seibert who wrote the 1939 letter probably was her Mother Anna Heinlein Seibert who died the next year, 9 Dec 1940 in Newport, KY.
These papers may have answers to many questions about the Seibert line in Campbell County. These Seibert's came from Hosbach, Bavaria about 1845 and settled just outside Newport, KY in an area known as John's Hill very near the current location of Northern KY University.
