HERMAN / HERRMANN from Alsace, France (Joseph, Anton, Francois, George & family)
Posted by: Mimi (ID *****3703) Date: April 10, 2008 at 09:01:30

While doing research on my family (not HERMAN) I discovered* that the two families below might possibly be from the same place ... Seltz, Alsace (Bas-Rhin), France. check out Castlegarden.org 30 May 1836 ship "Europe"

*a helpful researcher in France examined the ship manifest I sent him and told me that several families traveling with my STULZ family (HERMAN included) were from Seltz. The manifest says they were from Strasbourg. My brick wall fell down when I discovered Seltz and hopefully yours will too.
Good luck!
