Thank you for the follow-up. I have seen the History of Wayne county and it talks about Joshua Harendon and also mentions a Harrington/Herrington. Our ancestor Sarah Herendon or Harrington is from Wayne County NY but I can not determine which group she descends from. Her name is spelled in the histories, I can find here in Michigan, as Herendon and also Harrington. Do you know where in Europe the name came from as some of the histories indicate she was of Dutch (Netherland) descent?
