Ezekiel C. Heard (Herd/Heird) GA>AL>TN>TX

Still trying to find out who Ezekiel C. Heard's parents were. Some records show he was born in GA. In 1830 Coweta Co., GA there is a Mary Heard living close to William Bacchus (future father-in-law of Ezekiel's). Ezekiel was b. about 1830 and d. before 1900 census.

The names and spellings for Ezekiel are: Heard, Herd and Heird. 1850 census shows: Heard, 1860 Meigs Co., TN shows Herd and 1880 shows: Heird

Civil War information shows: Heard

He was married twice: Martha Bacchus on July 5, 1850 in Coweta Co., GA and then to Martha J. Ingram on March 31, 1861 in Monroe Co., TN. Both marriage license show: Heard

He had the following children w/Martha Bacchus (d/o William Bacchus and Sarah Bailes (Bales):
James b. abt 1851
Lucinda b. 2/28/1852 and d. 2/12/1914 was married to George Franklin Nelson in 1875 in Meigs Co., TN
Malinda (Melinde) b. Dec 28, 1855 and d. Dec 28, 1923 married Noah M. Duncan in Meigs Co., TX on May 4, 1876
John W. Heard (whose name also appears as Heird and whose children all went by the last name: Heird in Meigs Co., TN) was b. 3/27/1856 and d. 6/21/1925 married Mary "Mollie" Johnson on Nov 29, 1877 in Meigs Co,. TN
Ruth b. about 1858

Ezekiel had the following children w/ Martha J. Ingram: (these children used: Herd and Heard)
Sarah S. b. abt 1862
William J. b March 1864
Mary Elizabeth b. abt 1869
Rufus E. b. Apr 1871
Theodore b. abt 1872
Henry Lafayette b. July 4, 1875 and d. Mar 12, 1943 married Ellen George
Fate July 1875 (possible twin to Henry)
Cornelia abt 1876
Omie "Oma" b. abt Jan 1881-possibly married a "White"

1900 census shows a grandson, Oscar Berry, living with Martha Heard in Delta Co, TX

Henry Lafayette died in Oregon and sister Omie "Oma" also was living in Oregon in 1943

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.
