I am looking for information on Thomas and Katherine (Gaffney) Herbert from NYC. My grandmother, Anna Marie Herbert, was born in 1888. Her mother passed away and she was adopted by her Aunt Kate (Herbert) and Uncle William Fanning. I have found two siblings: Martha b. abt 1880 and Martin in 1886. Martha married in 1908. I found Martin on the 1900 census for the New York Catholic Protectory. I have not found the remaining three survivors of the seven children.
Thomas Herbert's parents were Patrick and Margaret (Holt) Herbert from Kildare, Ireland. I have not been able to find any information on Thomas...not sure when he passed away. I have documents for his sisters Kate and Margaret. Martin was living with Kate and her husband Wm. Fanning in 1900. Thomas should be the second child of Patrick and Margaret.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
