Hello Paul,
No, these Hoeppner(s) are Mennonite.
The mennonites came out of the mid 1500's
anabaptist movement happening in Prussia,
Netherlands, and Switzerland area.

One of the early founders was Menno Simons.
The first faction was Swiss and Dutch.
The movement then moved to Prussia and
picked up a German faction. They lived
in West Prussia, modern day Ukraine
and moved again in 1789 and up to Russia,
part of what is now modern Poland. One
early faction went to Pennsylvania.
2nd wave went to PA and up into Canada
and more specifically the Red River Valley
in Manitoba

Some Hoeppner's were also part of the Luthern
faction and I have seen some sites referencing
a Jewish faction - but I can't remember where.
If you're trying to locate that information, I
can keep my eyes out for you.
Marlene
