My English Henson are all from Nottinghamshire including Ruddington and Bradmore(or Bunny). The first I have info on is my gggg-grandfather, Richard Henson, who was born in Bradmore in abt. 1800. He was married to Mary Woodroffe. They had 8 children: William (my ggg-grandfather born abt. 1825), John, Daniel, Elizabeth, Hannah, Henry, Mary, and George. William was born in East Leake, Nottinghamshire and married Catherine Elliott(born abt. 1828 Wysall, Notts). They had 6 children: William(my gg-grandfather born Nov. 26, 1848 Wysall, Notts),Elizabeth, Mary Anne, Hannah, Herbert Richard, and Henry. William married Eliza Blood who was born in Ruddington, Notts. They had 7 children: Elizabeth, George(my g-grandfather),Hannah, Harriet, Kate, Violet, and Mary Helen Elliot - all born in Ruddington. William and family came to the USA in 1882, settling in Philadelphia. The 2 Williams were both framework knitters.
