Tina,
I don't know if you're still doing research on the Hinson/Henson line but I am looking for Henson/Hinson in Perry county and I'm hoping that maybe mine are connected to yours.
I have traced James Delefate Henson back to Perry County in a weird way but I haven't actually found him there yet.
I know that he was born in TN Nov. 9 1854. He married Mary Mandy Barber on Dec. 19 1880 in Lavaca county Texas.
I know that the Barber family was in Perry county TN for years and that they moved to Lavaca county TX (they are in the 1880 census there). I found James Delefate Henson listed with another Barber family from Perry county in the 1880 Lavaca County TX census showing "Fate Henson" as their cousin.
I have been searching the 1870 Perry County census page by page trying to find him but I haven't yet.
The family he was living with in Texas was William and Rachel Barber. William is connected to the Hinsons by his mother being Susan "Susie" Hinson but that is all I can find.
Do you have any information that may help me? I just sent away for the marriage license for James Delefate Henson and Mary Mandy Barber but I doubt that it will tell me much.
Thanks,
Linda
