Lisa, on the chance that Charles doesn't see your posting any time soon, I'll jump in and add what I _think_ may be your line.
Samuel Henson, Sr. married Elizabeth WEBSTER, 1849 in Morgan Co., AL. Elizabeth may have died between 1856-1860 because she in not in the HH in the 1860 Stoddard Co.,MO census. The family was en. twice in 1860 and shows they had the following children: William F./C.; Charlotte/Charlotte F.; Marion Francis; and Sarah/Malinda.
Samuel had been m. prior to Elizabeth Webster but I haven't found the wife's name. He married at least for the third time,Elizabeth Taylor in Stoddard Co. 1862 and had my greatgrandfather, Adam Monroe Henson, in 1864.Samuel died in 1869 and he is buried in Moore Cemetery, Stoddard Co., MO.
The notorious Samuel D. Henson in Stoddard Co., MO was son of Samuel, Sr and the wife before Elizabeth Webster.
The two main reasons I believe that our lines will join: The Charlotte in the census and my mother and aunts can remember an Aunt Paralee, sister of Adam Monroe Henson.
