Hi Charlotte- I hope you get this.
Thanks for posting anote. The names are similar to our Henrys John and MaryAnn Henry and ther 3 sons John, James and Robert left to America in 1722 from Coleraine, Ireland to New Castle, Deleware. It was said that Robert left from the Glencoe area at the time of the Massecre in 1692 at the age of around 14 to seek refuge with a relative a uncle. It was said where the green fern grows, later said of Cambellton, Scotland. To prove his idenity his mother gave him a signet ring gold seal ring with a white onyx face and bearing a red crest griffins head. The ring is still in the famiy stored at a museum. Does any of this match up?
Thankyou for your cosideration. If possible could you confirm you got this. Its the first time i responded to a forum. John Edgar Martin
