I am trying to untangle the early Henry families of Fauquier County VA. Unfortunately, most of what I am finding on the internet does not appear to be accurate.
I have just searched the personal property tax lists for Culpeper Co VA (1782-1801) and Fauquier Co VA (1782-1807). I'm posting every HENRY I found in hopes it may help other researchers.
I believe that all the Henry's in Fauquier Co were probably related but I can't connect them all. I think that the following four "clusters" of Henry's are accurate but I don't now how the four group relate to the others.
FIRST
George Henry (b.pre.1715-liv 1755) married Mary _____.
1. John Henry (b.pre.1735-liv 1768) married Mary _______
SECOND
John Henry (b.pre.1748-d.1816KY) married Elizabeth ______
(cousin to above John). In Kentucky by 1805.

THIRD
George Henry (b.pre.1741--d.(1776-1779) married Lydia (Wheatley?) (b.pre.1746-liv 1810)
1. George Henry (b.abt.1761-d.1836OH) married Permelia Fiddler
2. Joel Henry (b.1776-d.1847VA) married Susanna Allen
NOTE: Most internet sources say this George Henry died in 1800 or even 1837; but Lydia was listed as head of house as early as 1779)
FOURTH
Mr & Mrs Henry??
1. Joseph Henry (b.pre.1755-d.1828GA) md Elizabeth Kelly. Moved GA 1789.
2. George Henry (b.pre.1754-d.1807GA) md (Elizabeth Emmons??). Moved GA 1798
(sons John b.1774 & William b.1781 went to GA; son David 1778 remained in VA)
3. Nancy Henry (b.pre.1775-d.182?GA) md Benjamin Frazier. In GA by 1793.
