I have my Kentucky Henrys back to the mid 1800's when they came from Ireland. They settled in the Paris and Ruddles Mills areas of the bluegrass region of Kentucky. I was told long ago that they were originally O'Henrys dropping the "O" because of the love all Irishmen felt from their fellow Americans at the time. Yes, that is cynacism. Trouble with the Henry name, there's a lot of them. And, the name, also, comes from France. I don't have your grandpa listed. You might see if you can get a parental name from your grandpa's death certificate.
