Paul:
I, like a lot of other researchers I get stuck in my own ittle rut. I am sorry I did not see this message a long time ago. However to catch up, I am Mary HENEGAR Springer. I live near Atlanta Ga. I was born in Warren Co. Tn. My Gr. grandfather changed the spelling of his name in the family Bible to HENNEGAR. somewhere along the line someone else dropped another N. To give a quick rundown. I am a direct descendandt of Hans Michel(the imigrant) through his son Coonrod. and his wife Anna Catharina Kutz b. 1685 in Gr., only daughter of Nicholas Kutz. This family moved after the war to Fredrick, MD. Their son John retained the family farm and son ConrodII moved to Rowan Co. NC.( see Conrods war pention app.) He moved to Washington Co. Va. then before he died, to Wayne Co. Ky. with his son Henry. My ancestor was ConrodII's son Jacob who mr. Mary Polly Greiver ( daughter of Phillip Greiver who is credited wih having fired the first shot at the battle of Kings Mt. NC./SC.) and his wife Margaret Bosang. I have many of the desendants of this family but a lot of confusion I feel luckey to be able to trace my direct line. I will be happy to help you in any way I can. I do not trace other branches as there is too much left to guess work. Let me know if I can be of help.
A good place to start is with Hans Michels 2 wills. I do not have a copy but would appreciate it if you can send them.
Thanks, Mary
