My GGfather was Edward Rudolph Hennies (my Grandmother's spelling). Born 11/2/1882 in Cincinatti, OH. He and his younger sister, Nettie and younger brother, Gus were orphaned in 1888. Edward was taken in by a farmer and family around Georgetown. He was never adopted. The younger children were placed into an orphanage and it is believed that they may have been on one of the Orphan Trains. their Mom's name was Caroline, but there is no information on his father. My Grandmother had a brother named Lloyd and I am wondering if it may have been a family name. We know that her Grandmother was Caroline because she carries it as her middle name. Could there be some connections even with the difference in the spelling? I am interested in any information you have on your branches and look forward to any information you can share.
