Hi Joe:

Where were your Hennelly's before Athenry? I, too, descend from Co. Galway Hennelly's - in the neighborhood of Kiltartan parish, a little bit south of Athenry. There were two Hennelly's enumerated in the Tithe Applotment lists for that parish (1826 or so): Coleman and John. My Hennelly ancestor immigrated to Milford, Worcester, MA prior to 1860. His father Coleman would be the same generation as your Patrick Hennelly, b 1794. Any occurence of the forenames of "Bartholomew" or "Coleman" on your side?
Have two possible Patrick Hennelly's in the tithes list for Galway County. One in Kilbegnet, and the other a "P. Hannelly" from Ballynakill. There are probably more.
