seth gard who was involved in the constitution of IL when it beame a state was born in 1775 in NJ. he died in wabash cty Il in 1845. One of his grandchildren, mary polly compton["mollie"], married john heniken, b.1837 in wabash cty. John and mollie had thomas b.1858, matthew b.1859, john b.1861,& guinn b. 1864, the year his father died of a bullet wound at the battle of Atlanta.
Thomas had children harriet 1880 & clarence 1884.
matthew had alfred 1904-1966 [d. lk stevens,WA]
john had edith emma 1885 & myrtle 1890-1912. john died in 1938.
unless mentioned, these peole all stayed in wabash county.
there was a matthew heniken b. 1779 in charles county maryland. he married elizabeth penn. he died in wabash cty. He had a brother named ,John, and sister named Ann.
Matthew and Elizabeth were parents of the John who died in the civil war. They also had George Washington Heniken 1831-1879.
