Any further information on James Hendry born Inverness 1729 died in Ramsey Isle of Man 25-11-1816 and his wife Ann (alias McGill or McGillevrea died at Ramsey on 16-8-1816 aged 76. She had fourteen children of whom were left three surviving daughters. They seem to have arrived in the Isle of Man before 1762 as a son, James Hendry was born in Lezayre, Isle of Man on 8-1-1762. (Other sons who died young were Johnathan and John) James senior was a merchant then a brewer from about 1785 in Ramsey.
