Can you help me with my brick wall?
I am trying to find information on my grandfather's ancestry. James Hendron born in County Armagh, possibly Lurgan in 1895. James father was John Hendron. James immigrated to the US about 1910 and is listed in the 1920 and 1930 US Census living in Detroit MI. He married Kathleen C Fernley in 1920, fathered one child, Eileen Mary Hendron in 1921 and divorced before 1924.
He served in WWI and I believe he is buried at a National Cemetery in New York.

James had a few brothers and at least one sister. One brother, Patrick immigrated with James to the US. We have copies of old letters written between Patrick and his sister Alice, and Patrick to his brother Daniel dated in the early 1910's and again in the 1940's coming from 66 North Street, Lurgan. The last letter I have a copy of is from Rosaleen, daughter of Alice. The letter is dated December 1998. from Manor Court, Sloan Street, Lurgan. Unfortunately there are no surnames listed in the letter.
