Not all of those Hendrickson's belong to the Hendrickson line you listed.
Lucy was the sister of my g-grandmother, Rosa Mary Jane Hendrickson. Their father was Josephus Hendrickson, he was born in KY. Their mother was Eliz. Catching, also born in KY. Josephus served in the Civil War, Union, for KY. He is buried at Fairview Cem., Cape Girardeau co., Mo. and has a military headstone: "7th KY Inf."
I am still searching this line, but I think their migration went from KY, to IN, to IL, to MO.
Josephus was the 4th son and Ezekiel Hendrickson (KY). He had over 10 children and I haven't sorted out all the dates yet.
I found Rosa's birth record (born 1884) at IRAD in Springfield, IL. She was the 8th child born to Joseph & Eliz. On the record, Eliz. maiden name can not be read. Eliz. died abt. 1887, also the year she had her last child, a son. My g-grandmother never knew her mother, because she died when she was so young. My g-grandmother was alive until I was 13, so I remember her well.
Joseph re-married in 1888 to Mrs. Sarah (nee Gholson) Porter, the widow of Wm. Porter who d. in 1882. Josephus re-married again by 1900 (Census) to Mrs. Mary (nee Cross or Fross)McChestney in Saline co., IL. This marriage survived and she is buried at Fairview Cem. next to him. On the 1900 Census, the household contains children from his & her first marriages, and children from their marriage together. They had a large family and additional children are listed on the 1910 & 1920 Census'(migrated to MO. by then).
Since I am still researching this line, please include me on any other information you have. How are you related and who are your Hendrickson ancestors? Should we compare notes?
Thanks, Lori
