Hi! I'm a decendent of Ezekiel's son Joshua to Elisha to Henry Jefferson to Grandville Pearl to Thomas Jefferson to Charles Franklin to Andrew Arnold Hendrickson. And like everyone else when it comes to Ezekiel or Jemima I've hit the perverbial brick wall.
That's an important thing to remember. Prior to the mid 1780's no documented information has been found concerning Ezekiel, the Thomas's (father and brother), or Jemima Ezekiel's wife. It's like they just poofed into existence. So, [at this time] the stories about being born in Germany, father from Norway mother from Germany, even Ezekiel's father's name, and whether or not Thomas b. 1737 is actually Ezekiel's brother are just that stories. I don't mean to cause a problem here and I hope that I don't. But untill definitive proof is found we have to be open to the possibility that the truth is something very different. I really do hope that the myths turn out to be true. Or at least something pretty close to it.
I've searched my file for Goodin's and have your Ezekiel Goodin married to Ella but don't have any children listed. I do have a Jesse listed who was a son of Benjamin H. Goodin b. July 25, 1870. Husband of Clara Hendrickson (sister of Ella Zora). Unfortunately this Jesse b. 1900 d.1901. This family lived and are buried in Bell Co., KY. I don't have proof but it's possible Ezekiel and Benjamin are brothers or cousins.
