Mount Pisgah plantation was originally a part of the Arnold estate which passed to the Temples. It lay along the Mattapony
River between Pres Qu'ile & the Uppowac. Uppowac was built by John Roane. He was a reprensentative from VA for 25
years. Was the founder of Rumford Academy.
