According to Grace Chancey's "The Hendons from Gunpowder River," William M. Hendon wass born in April 1752, Baltimore County, MD, son of Isham Hendon and Keziah Johnson. Isham moved his family to Wake Co, NC about 1753. William moved to Georgia around 1787 and lived in Oglethorpe Co, GA until 1812, when they moved to Franklin Co, TN. He died there in 1822. His grave is still standing. I saw it a year ago. He was ordained in 1807 in the Clouds Creek Baptist Church in GA.
