From the Hamilton (ON) Spectator Aug 6,1988. Suddenly at his residence, in Stoney Creek on Thursday, August 4, 1988, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Elsie Hendershot. Dear Father of Carl and his wife Yolanda of Stoney Creek. Brother of Harry of Binbook. Uncle of Mrs. Doris Merrit and Ross Wilson. Predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Katie Weaver and Mrs. Nettie Wilson. Mr. Hendershot was a Past Master of Harmony Lodge, former Warden of Wentworth County and Reeve of Binbrook Township and Past President of the Binbrook Fair. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, where Service will be held in the Chapel Monday, August 8. Interment in Binbrook United Church Cemetery.
