C.A.Hendee 1860-1880 (??) where???????

I am trying to identify the location of a photograph from apprximately 1860-1880. The photograph is of a street scene, that I believe is somewhere along the Mississippi River and shows various commercial buildigs including what appears to be a dry goods store with a lage sign that reads by C.A. Hendee. Also visible is a shop sign marked "J. Lewis Tailor" and another sign "Dohmen & Mueller Deutsche Apotheke", Finally, there is a street sign on the corner of the building that reads "Lake St" on one side, unfortunately the other side of the sign is not legible other than "St."
Any help identifying the location would be appreciated.
