I'm looking for information on a William Hemsley married to a Jane Briggs. They were living in West Auckland, Co. Durham in 1847. Their daughter Elizabeth Francis was born there. They emigrated to the US and settled in what is now West Virginia. They are in the 1850 US Census. William and Jane may have married in 1837 in Houghton le Spring, Co. Durham. Any help will be appreciated.
