Well, Brad, you've probably graduated by now! I haven't found any Virgil's in my line, but then, I don't have everyone. I've tracked my Hempsteads back to Mohawk & Herkimer, NY. My grandfather was Earl George Hempstead, his father was George Earl Hempstead, and HIS father was Jeremiah Hempstead who was born ca 1842 in County Cork, Ireland. Jeremiah was married to a Christina Johns who was born in Switzerland. My mother was a Hempstead and I'm in touch with the current generations of this family. Good luck in your search!
