I am interested in the descendants of James H. Hempsted who married Harriet Augusta Matheson. Harriet died 1917 Hudson, Quebec. Harriet was the daughter of Col. John Augustus Matheson (1781-1868) by his wife Harriet Vanderburgh. Harriet Vanderburgh daughter of Peter Vanderburgh and wife Anna Whitlock of Lenox, MA
The family lived in Husdon Quebec and historical documents talk about a Whitlock Family Bible being in the possession of the Hempsted family.
