I was looking through a census to get info on my great-great-grandfather, Henry G. Beal when i saw that his sister Alice, had married Herbert Hempstead (b. 1866) in 1890. I just figured i'd drop this info in here in case someone might be looking for it....
N.Y. State Census, Enumerated Feb. 16th, 1892
Residents of 145 14th St, Brooklyn, N.Y.
22nd Ward (Park Slope section)
Henry G. Beal, 25, City Weigher
Camilla Beal, 21 (the youngest Beal sister)
Herbert Hempstead, 25, City Weigher
Alice Hempstead, 23
Herbert Hempstead, Jr., 2
Lester Hempstead, 1
In my family burial plot there is a George Hempstead buried in 1893... My guess it was their 3rd child, dying at or shortly after birth, i didn't know until today what relation the Hempsteads were.
