The earliest Hempstead ancestor I have traced is Edward John Hempstead, b. 1804 in Barking, Needham Market, Suffolk.
He married Mary Badcock in 1825, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge. They had 8 children: Frances Ann, John Fisher, Jeremiah, Mary, Martha, Ebenezer, Sarah and James.
I would like to hear from anyone having links to this family.
