Hi All: Just got back from Ireland. stayed with cousin Robbie Hemphill in Portstewart.Visited the following cemeteries for my Hemphills and my McKeemans(Ballyrashane, Revellagh Dunmull. Agherton,Ballywillan,Ballywatt,Mosside, Roseyards, Billy,Kilraughts,Old Ballymoney,Ballymoy,Toberkeigh Found my Hemphill homestead in Dunmull, found my great Uncle Robert's gravesite in Agherton. Found, what we believe is my gg. grandpa James Hemphill's gravesite in Ballywatt. Visited the Hemphill camus house in Camus, and found a Hemphill grave circa 1685.The gravestone is broken in two. (that's the crowd that Ray Hemphill, and Lord Hemphill is from.) Also visited Aghadowey(Ray's Hemphills)Also visited Castlederg(the Tyrone hemphills cemetery) Castlederg is the ground of the New Brunswick Canada Hemphills. The Castlederg cemetery is in really bad condition, and no Hemphill graves were evident, although they are there.I have the GPS co-ordinates of all the above mentioned cemeteries if anyone is interested. Found many of my Ballyrashane-Dunmull Hemphills in Portstewart. My cousin Robbie's neighbour in Portstewart is James Hemphill from the Camus-Aghadowey Hemphills. He told me Ray hemphill visited him a few years ago.Very moving to stand on the site of my James Hemphill's home(James emigrated in 1832 with Brothers Hamilton and John on a ship called the Prudence) James ended up in Prince Edward Island, Canada,Hamilton, and John continued on to Philadelphia. One stayed in Philadelphia, and one ended up in South Carolina. If anyone out there has a Hamilton Hemphill on this side, let me know. we are related. Cheers: Elwin
