I may have some info that could help.Hope you can help me too I think the name comes from Germany to the Uk and to Ireland with Cromwell. I know many Hempenstalls were land owners in Co's Wicklow , Wexford 1800's,1900's NB: Killpedder, Kilquade and Newtownmountkennedy Co wicklow.
