Abe certainly lived past 1783. Land deeds and census records have him living in Greenbrier County, VA (now WV), where his brother Isaac lived, before moving on to Kentucky.

The alleged grave site of Abe at Doe Hill is really just a memorial added much later by someone who didn't know about Abe's later life.

I've tried to locate his sister Eleanor Nap. I presume Nap = Knap or Knapp. There was an 1832 probate record of an Eleanor Knap in Greenbrier County, but I haven't been able to connect her to the Knaps living there, one of which married a daughter of Isaac Haptonstall. Also, there was a Moses Knap living in the Doe Hill area in the late 1700's and early 1800's. Could there be a connection to him?
