John Hemminger-Rev War Pension, Somerset CO, PA

I happened to read the Revolutionary War pension files for John Hemminger who died on 5 April 1842 in Somerset CO, PA. Quite a bit of information is in the files to include the following data;
He was 22 when he enlisted in the Revolution. He was a five foot,six inch tall blacksmith, who was b in PA and who had black hair, a dark complexion. His enlistment date was 21 April 1777 from Chester CO, PA.

One of the affidavits said that he was married in Frederick, MD on 18 April 1790. That sort of does not go along with being born in PA. Who knows... pamela
