Hemingway Family Genealogy Forum

Hello fellow researchers, I wanted to post a bit of info I located while visiting Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, KY. My grandfather (Harry Edward Taber) & great grandfather (Frank Taber) are both buried ina plot that contains 3 graves...in one unmarked small triangular area apparently is also buried a 4 year old girl named Irene Marie Hemingway...I have no idea how she is connected to my ancestors but I did send away for her burial informations and it reads as follows: Irene Marie Hemingway; 809 Saratoga ; b: 4/10/1910; d: 3/30/1915; age: 4 years, 11 months, 20 days; d: at home, white, female; birthplace: 210 West 4th, Newport, KY; father: John Hemingway b: Alexandria, KY; mother: Bessie Shoemaker b: Newport, KY; informant: John Hemingway; physician: Dr. Edward Herman. I would love to know how this family came to connect to my Taber line...the 3 lots were originally bought and owned by my great grandfather(Frank) and when he died in 1910, ownership went to his son, my grandpa (Harry)...he was only 15 when Irene passed away so apparently he gave the lot to her family to bury her in...he passed himself in 1963. The lot Irene is buried in has no headstone and it is a very small traingular shaped lot and her gravesite has sunken in quite a bit. I would hope that someone connected to this little girl would some day honor her with a headstone. Best of luck to all. Blessings~~~~Laurie
