Sorry for the delay in responding to your message and I recognise that you might already have the information that you were seeking.
I can confirm that Alice Hemingway married Samuel Lightowler on 9 Oct 1866 at St John the Baptist, Holbeck. They were alleged to have been aged 20 & 25 respectively. From notes, I think that Samuel was a widower and I don't know if there were any previous children. I don't have a copy of this marriage certificate or Alice's birth certificate.
Do you as yet have confirmation of Alice's parents?
