Walter it appears your Hemingway line from Cumberland County NC connects to my husbands line. His grandfather was Amma Riah Hemingway,(brother to your Micajah) great grandfather was Isaac William Hemingway married to Maria Louisa Denning.Your Micajah is on the 1860 Cumberland census with Isaac as Micey 2yrs old. Then he is on the 1880 census with Eliza (Lousia) as 22 and married to Teany 17 yrs old.In a letter from a relative in 1983 he stated Micager (Mike K ) brother of Amma Riah married Athenia Raynor May 2,1880 and their children were Minnie,Jasper and Lidia.Jasper was a doctor in Gastonia,NC. Micager's second wife was Elizabeth Collier and their children were Ottis,Herman,Bulia,Ethel,Dalla,Naomi,Myrtle and Mike David.The first Hemingway to Cumberland County,NC was Micajah who married Mary Whitehead in 1821 and the parents to Isaac.This is all I know and hope it helps with your search.
