I want to correct some info I gave for Isaac Hemingway of Cumberland County,NC. I see I typed his marriage date as 1839. It is on record as 1853. Also,his father Micajah spelled their named Hemenway when he married and also on the 1850 census for Isaac and his Mother Mary. This was the spelling of the MA Hemenways.Not until the later years for Isaac did the spelling become Hemingway. And then in my husband's line it became Hemmingway with his Grandfather. So his line has spelled it three ways from Isaac.
