Henry D Hemingway
Posted by: John M. Altman (ID *****8629) Date: March 10, 2004 at 18:41:58

I have a paper where James Altman petition SC gov. for a pension in oct 12 1832.. He was writing for a pension for serving in the revolutionary War..
On one of the papers a Henry D Hemingway singed as a character witness. (It looks like the initinal D)
Certain it was written in SC. Believe it was from Marion or Williamsburg county.
Do anyone know this Hemingway and where he was living in 1832...Henry was one of 6 character witness but the writing is so fancy that It is going to take me a while to figure it out.
Thanks
John altman
